Well as i read some of the story, it seems Ms Lambert proved why she was let go the moment she found out she was let go. It's grieving that someone would care more about self-vindication than care about our witness as Christians to the world. No matter how things really go down, the media always seems to portray us in a bad light. Such a surprise? (John 15:18) It appears that the pastor and church board are responding in love and humility, and hopefully that can be a lasting witness.
